Why isn’t the right to choose a safe, humane death at the hands of a trusted doctor something libertarians all agree with?

As someone whose libertarian leanings used to govern on this particular question: because if euthanasia is part of the schedule of health care actions, it can be something that a standard-of-care actively pushes. Many people have had experiences with doctors pushing treatments on them they don’t want, or having to shop around and fight to get something that varies from ‘the standard’. We’ve heard stories about relatives persuaded that taking an aging parent off life support was better for everyone involved.

I support peoples’ right to end their own lives - hard to see how it could be taken away - and I’m even, on libertarian grounds, in favor of access to currently-illegal drugs that would, among many other things, make suicide easier and more painless.

But I don’t trust the healthcare bureaucracy anywhere near it.
